Happy Mondays are an English alternative rock band formed in Salford, Greater Manchester, in 1980, known for pioneering the "Madchester" sound by blending indie rock with acid house, funk, and psychedelia. Led by brothers Shaun and Paul Ryder, the group are associated with the rave culture of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
