Mastodon is an American heavy metal band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in early 2000 and composed of bassist Troy Sanders, guitarist Brent Hinds, guitarist Bill Kelliher and drummer Brann Dailor. The band’s ‘Moby Dick’-based album ‘Leviathan’, recorded in Robert Lang Studios and Litho Studios in Seattle under the aegis of producer Matt Bayles arrived in late August 2004, thereby celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
