HIM, short for His Infernal Majesty, was a Finnish rock band formed in 1991 by vocalist Ville Valo, guitarist Mikko "Linde" Lindström, and bassist Mikko "Migé" Paananen. The band gained international recognition for their unique blend of gothic rock, metal, and alternative rock, often characterized by Valo's deep, melancholic vocals and haunting melodies.
