Das vierte Studioalbum der englischen Rockband, ursprünglich veröffentlicht im September 1995. „The Great Escape“ gilt oft als das letzte Album einer Reihe von Britpop-Alben, die Blur Mitte der 1990er Jahre veröffentlichte, nach „Modern Life Is Rubbish“ (1993) und „Parklife“ (1994). Mit dem gleichnamigen Album von Blur aus dem Jahr 1997 änderte die Band ihre Richtung und wandte sich vom Britpop ab und hin zu einem eher Lo-Fi- und Alternative-Rock-Sound. Enthält die Singles: „Country House“, „The Universal“, „Stereotypes“, „Charmless Man“ und „It Could Be You“.
