Die 1964 in Phoenix, Arizona, gegründete Heavy-Rock-Band Alice Cooper wird von Vincent Furnier angeführt, der seinen Namen offiziell in Alice Cooper änderte. Zu ihren größten Hits zählen School's Out und Poison, und mit dem Album Billion Dollar Babies erreichte die Band 1973 Platz eins der Charts. Die Band wurde für ihre theatralischen und schockierenden Bühnenshows bekannt, zu denen auch kontroverse Aktionen wie das Werfen eines lebenden Huhns ins Publikum während eines Festivalauftritts gehörten. Alice Cooper selbst inspirierte 2014 seinen eigenen Dokumentarfilm. Die ursprüngliche Bandbesetzung wurde 2011 in die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen.
