Run-DMC ist eine 1981 in Queens, New York, gegründete Hip-Hop-Gruppe. Das Trio gilt als eine der einflussreichsten Bands der Hip-Hop-Geschichte und erreichte zahlreiche Premieren für das Genre. Unter anderem war es die erste Gruppe, die für einen Grammy nominiert wurde, Videos auf MTV hatte und auf dem Cover des Rolling Stone Magazins zu sehen war. In Zusammenarbeit mit Aerosmith veröffentlichte das Trio ein Cover von „Walk This Way“, das zusammen mit dem beliebten Track „It's Tricky“ auf dem Album „Raising Hell“ erschien.
